About the SCCA

In 2024, Rick and Missy started an exciting initiative called Georgia Chili Cooks and Cook-Offs. They love organizing chili cook-off festivals and have had a great time doing so. With a strong desire to support charitable causes, they decided to blend their passion for chili with fundraising efforts by partnering with various charity groups that align with their beliefs. The money raised from these cook-offs is donated to different charitable organizations.

To enhance their mission, they established the SCCA. Through this association,  Rick and Missy pick a new charity to support every three months, ensuring that a big part of the funds raised from their events goes towards these important causes. Their enthusiasm for helping others shines through in these Chili Cook-Off Festivals, which not only celebrate their love of chili but also strengthen their ties to the community and make a positive impact.

Our Southeastern Chili Cook Off Group unites communities from Georgia to Texas, Florida to Kentucky through a shared love of chili, competition, and giving back. As a nonprofit, we proudly support veterans, foster care outreach programs, and humane societies, using every event to make a meaningful impact. Built on friendship, family, and Southern tradition, our mission is to bring people together while celebrating great chili and fierce, fair competition—backed by impartial blind judging that ensures every contestant earns their win. From local gatherings to regional showdowns, we’re serving up more than chili—we’re building stronger communities, one bowl at a time.

We strive to preserve the traditions of competitive chili cooking while fostering collaboration, friendship, and service. Through connection, education, and philanthropy, we celebrate the spirit of chili cook-offs and the positive impact they create in communities everywhere.

The Southeastern Chili Cook Off Group’s mission is to unite communities from Texas and across the Southeast through the shared traditions of chili cooking, friendly competition, and charitable service. We bring together individuals and families fostering fellowship, sportsmanship, and community pride through professionally organized chili cook-offs judged with fairness and integrity through impartial blind judging.

As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to making a positive impact by supporting veterans, foster care outreach programs, humane societies, and other worthy causes. Through every event, we celebrate great chili, build lasting friendships, and strengthen communities—one bowl at a time.
